Sarah Elliott

By nature and by training, Sarah is a systems thinker who thrives off of cultivating meaningful relationships and connections with people. Rooted in over a decade of having her hands in the dirt at small and mid-sized diversified farms, she is passionate about growing a strong local food system that is sustainable, just, and economically-viable. Sarah is a community-minded leader whose past experience includes directing the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country, co-leading Wisconsin Farm to School initiatives, and engaging communities in a wide range of facilitation, development, and planning exercises. She brings strong project management, strategic planning and facilitation skills, as well as a wealth of knowledge and understanding of food systems to the team.

Sarah has an MS in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Sarah’s core skills include finding creative solutions, communicating with poise and clarity, being flexible and resourceful, and making a mean pot of chili. Originally from Pennsylvania, Sarah has traveled to 49 of the 50 states and calls Madison, WI home.
